Join your child up for a wild time in the woods during school holidays, and we will give them an experience they will never forget.
After the success of the past woodland camps Wild about our Woods are offering a fun, engaging and adventurous Woodland Holiday Club for children aged 5 – 11 years, visiting the wonderful ancient woodlands of Queens Wood. We will offer your child a chance to explore the great outdoors in a safe, supportive environment.

From building woodland shelters and making natural clay scupltures to using tools  and playing woodlands games, there will be something for everyone. Your child will create their own woodland adventure and make the best of friends.

Here's a quote from one of the many parents who sent their child to us at an Easter camp
'I just wanted to let you know that E had a fantastic time yesterday. She came back very proud of how she'd led the adventure walk with H, and told me how she had enjoyed climbing and balancing on fallen trees. thanks for making sure she had a great day!' Rachel.

What can your child expect at the Wild About our Wood Holiday club?
Every day will be different! There will be plenty of woodland games like hide and seek and capture the flag, as well as the freedom to enjoy running around, climbing and exploring. You'll be thanking us at the end of the day when your children are well and truly ready for bedtime!

But every day we will have creative activities on offer, using natural materials where possible, and will take on green woodwork challenges using tools and woodlands equipment.

Risk is a big part of adventure play for children, but all the risks have been carefully assessed so that your child can experience a sense of accomplishment from the challenges we set each day, be they exploratory, creative or using tools.

We will be in the woods all day come rain or shine (although we will erect a shelter in bad weather), so appropriate clothing is very important (see below).

We are Ofsted registered and all the staff and volunteers who work with us have DBS screen and are inducted in our Safeguarding Children and Young People policy.
